About the Marriage Retreat

The purpose of the retreat is for couples to restore, refresh, and strengthen their marriage and RELAX .  Additionally, the retreat is a time to reflect upon the current condition of your marriage and devise plans to ensure your marriage is healthy, growing, and vibrant.

When: Saturday, September 10, 2022 (8:35 AM-2:45 PM)

Location: Ponderosa Retreat & Conference Center (15235 Furrow Road, Larkspur, Colorado, 80118), 719.481.2482

Registration Fee:  The cost is ONLY $79 per couple. This includes four group sessions, a lunch buffet, snacks, and relevant marriage books. Space is limited to the first 25 couples who register. Registration ends Monday, September 5, 2022.

Marriage Life Speakers

Marriage L.I.F.E. is excited to have Jay & Vicki Gustafson partner with us as retreat presenters!

Vicki is the mother of three grown children, “Grandma” to five adorable grandchildren, and the wife of Jay Gustafson. They have been married for forty-five years. Jay is a retired law enforcement officer. He served for forty-two years. Vicki’s family and friends are precious to her, and she loves spending time with them. In addition, she is a certified Christian life coach, speaker, and advocate for law enforcement officers’ wives and LE couples. She is the author of His Badge, My Story, Insights for Spouses, and Loved Ones of Law Enforcement Officers. She is also the president of LEOW Insight, LLC., and the voice of Insights from the Heart Podcast. Vicki offers a warm, approachable, and professional style to every Special Event.

Jay Gustafson has been married to Vicki, the love of his life, for over four decades. He is the father of three grown children and “Grandpa” to five adorable grandchildren. Jay is a retired law enforcement officer and served his community and the federal court system for forty-two years. Jay was a police officer for Arlington Texas Police Department for almost 27 years and retired as a Sergeant. As a police officer, he served in many different positions, including Patrol, Field Training Officer, SWAT Hostage Negotiator, and Criminal Investigation Division, including Auto Theft and Crimes Against Persons, Homicide. As a Sergeant, Jay served in the Patrol Division, School Resource, Burglary Unit, and Vice Unit. Additionally, he was a certified TCOLE Instructor and Peer Support. Jay then volunteered his service to the community as a patrol officer for Dalworthington Gardens Police Department. He served for nearly twelve years as a US Marshal Court Security Officer at the Dallas and Fort Worth, TX Federal Courthouses. Jay now dedicates his time to helping Vicki at events where he brings a police-style approach that officers can relate to.

Lunch consists of a salad bar, a variety of entrées, beverages, and desserts.

The Ponderosa is well appointed with a coffee cabin, gift shop, and snack shop.

This event is open to ALL first responders,
dispatchers, support personnel and chaplains.

All registrations are completed via PayPal are non-refundable due to Ponderosa Retreat & Conference Center contractual obligations.
